Flock Mobility, a UK cleantech startup using AI to optimise shared electric vehicle fleets, has raised £1m in investment to support its next phase of growth. Backers include Skyscanner founder Gareth Williams and a Boston-based family office, underlining confidence in Flock’s strategy and traction to date.

The platform is already in use with clients such as the NHS and Berkeley Group and enables real-time, demand-led deployment of EVs across various transport use cases, including shuttles, shared rides and self-drive schemes. Flock’s system supports continuous, multi-purpose vehicle use throughout the day, allowing operators to cut costs, reduce emissions and increase ROI.

Terry Yoell, co-founder and CEO, said: “This investment is a major vote of confidence in what we’re building. We’ve already proven the model with the NHS and Berkeley Group. Now we’re scaling fast into new sectors and new regions.”

Flock has strengthened its senior team with two appointments: Samuel Ellis joins as head of growth, while Rob Larmour takes on the role of head of operations. The company is also recruiting in product, data and operational roles as it expands its AI-driven optimisation engine.

The funding will allow Flock to accelerate product development and enter new verticals, with growing demand from both commercial and public transport operators looking to transition to more intelligent, sustainable mobility solutions.
