LCV market enjoys strongest period for four months

Key  indicators for July demonstrated positivity in the market, with an increase in the total volume sold by +17%, 1st time conversions improving by circa 6% with three out of four vans selling first time, and average selling prices increasing up to £9805 for the month. There have also been notable movements in guide values going into August which should continue to help drive the market and demand.

LCV market celebrates second strongest month of year

While demand remains healthy, available stock reached new highs for age and mileage, largely due to an influx of pandemic-worn vans being returned to the market. LCV mileages reached their second highest point of the year during May, with returned vans having an average of 88,679 miles on the clock, at 65.2 months old. Compared to the same period in 2021, vans are on average three months older, and with 15,370 more miles on the clock today at Manheim

Winds of change experienced in the LCV wholesale market

November 2021 demonstrated several key milestones, in what has been a year like no other for the LCV market at Manheim. Most notable of which, was a return to four-figure average used selling prices, ending five consecutive months above the £10,000 price barrier. The average van mileage recorded by Manheim continued at levels not seen for over a decade, reaching 1,420 more miles compared to October to the highest point of 2021, at 86,875 miles. The first-time conversion rate remained identical to October’s recording of 77%.
