TRUCKMAN has continued to expand its vehicle racking and conversion division with the appointment of new Field Sales Engineer, Rob Jacombs.

The division, which was launched in autumn 2018, has established itself with SME trade customers operating small vehicle fleets.   It has also secured its first OEM endorsements from Volkswagen UK and Toyota GB for the supply and installation of ALUCA racking systems.

An experienced business development professional, Jacombs joins Truckman after 15 years with manufacturer Albert Jagger, serving sectors including commercial vehicle body building, boat building, aerospace and agriculture.

Most recently, as Business Development Manager he was responsible for sales for the company across England and Wales for five years until joining Truckman.

Rob will work alongside Business Unit Manager Carl Bowcock, who has overseen the development of the division following Truckman securing an agreement with the German racking manufacturer ALUCA to become the exclusive UK partner for the supply and installation of its products.

ALUCA racking is available for a wide variety of vans and pick-ups and is beneficial for many industries, due to it being 20% lighter than most competitors, offering fuel saving and increasing payload.  It is also 100% recyclable, crash-tested and comes with an 8-year warranty.
