Nissan e-NV200:
FOLLOWING on from its success with the Leaf electric car, Nissan has turned its attention to electric power and the light commercial vehicle. The result is the e-NV200, the largest electric van on sale that’s sure to appeal in urban environments.
What’s hot?
- The e-NV200 is based on a mixture of parts from both the electric Nissan Leaf car and the NV200 van. This follows through in the e-NV200’s styling – which is almost a fusion of the two models. At the front, you won’t miss the large front headlights, that arc upwards. Like the Leaf, there’s a front charging point and curvy airdam. The side is more conventional, looking exactly the same as the standard NV200 van. At the back, the clear, modern-looking light clusters are the only difference.
- Inside, the e-NV200’s dashboard is dominated by the touch-screen infotainment system. Wrapped in a piano black console, it not only shows charging information, but also includes sat-nav and can display the picture from the rear view camera. Like the infotainment system, the multi-function steering wheel and easy to read instruments are also borrowed from the Leaf.
- It is easy to get comfortable behind the wheel of the e-NV200, all round vision is good too, with slim window pillars and big mirrors.
- For a van, the e-NV200 is well-equipped. Standard equipment includes Bluetooth, electric windows, heated seats, sat-nav, DAB radio. All for £17,603 for our Acenta trim van, with battery.
