- With 254Nm of torque, the e-NV200 feels fast from the off – perfect for town work, but out of town this Nissan Van soon runs out of puff.
- Considering its size, there’s an impressive 4.2 cubic metres of loadspace in the back. Additionally, the flat 2.04 metre load bay can swallow a couple of standard pallets. This is because the clever design houses the batteries flat under the load area. Want extra space? Want you want is the optional folding passenger seat, which gives an extra 2.8 metres. Payload also beats the petrol sister van, with 770kg
- Further e-NV200 practicality comes in the form of a sliding side door and twin rear doors.
What’s not?
- Electric power equals no emissions and low running costs, but the 106 mile range from the electric motor will put off some buyers – but it will be fine for urban businesses.
- The e-NV200 feels quick off of the mark, but with the bouncy ride, bodyroll in corners and the numb steering, this Nissan isn’t that much fun to drive.
Verdict on the Nissan e-NV200
If your business is based in the city and your commute is short, going electric with the Nissan e-NV200 van could be very cost-effective for you.
There are some question marks over the driving experience, but like the Leaf car before it, the e-NV200 makes owning an electric van a very normal, pain-free experience.
But can you and your business live with the 106-mile range – which drops noticeably in cold weather?

You have got to be kidding. This is the best van I have ever driven in every aspect. And my last van was VW T6!
