Burnt Tree Burton Sameday

Refrigerental is Burnt Tree’s new refrigerated van hire business. Burton Sameday is taking on two Mercedes Sprinters

AS Midlands courier company Burton Sameday offers a service delivering foodstuffs as well as urgent pharmaceutical supplies to homes and businesses, almost half of its van fleet is temperature controlled.

Because of the nature of our temperature-controlled work, we have extremely stringent specification requirements

Having recently switched its dry freight van hire to Burnt Tree, it’s now turned to the company for its first refrigerated van hire, following the launch of Burnt Tree’s Refrigerental Division.

Burton Sameday has taken on a Mercedes LWB 313 Sprinter, equipped with a Carrier Xarios 350 direct-drive refrigerated system that can cover temperatures from -18° C to +10° C, to join its 36-strong van line-up.

And a second identically equipped van will soon join the fleet, which operates from the company’s town centre depot in Burton on Trent.

The vans, supplied by the local Burnt Tree depot in Derby, are working on a long-term rental deal with Burton Sameday for up to two years.

Burnt Tree’s new Refrigerental Division operates nationwide and has a line-up of 63-plate refrigerated hire vans ranging from car-derived vans and panel vans, right up to 18-tonne and 26-tonne rigid trucks, with single and multi-temperature applications.

Burton Sameday operations manager Rob Crisp told Business Vans: “Because of the nature of our temperature-controlled work, we have extremely stringent specification requirements for us to comply with the relevant legislation.

“We were impressed by the quality of the Burnt Tree vehicle specifications within their overall Refrigerental range and are now looking forward to develop this relationship.”
