PCL’s Nexus uses air as the nitrogen source (air is 80% nitrogen) you don’t need to store bottles of compressed gas

RUNNING nitrogen in your tyres rather than air offers several advantages according to tyre inflation specialist PCL. The company will be making its debut at this year’s Commercial Vehicle Show, to be held at Birmingham’s NEC from 29 April to 1 May.

PCL’s latest Nexus nitrogen tyre inflation system will be on the company’s stand so you can quizz them on the claims made for nitrogen filled tyres.

The major advantages of nitrogen tyre inflation are extended tyre casing and rim life, and improved fuel efficiency. What’s more, because it’s inert, nitrogen is safer in high-temperature environments.

PCL’s first appearance at the CV Show has been timed to showcase the completion of its range of tyre inflators and equipment for use in commercial vehicle workshops. This includes the ALG4 high-pressure tyre inflator for truck tyres, and products from the Horn Tecalemit portfolio of fluid-handling and fuel-dispensing products, including AdBlue.

As a bonus, PCL is offering a gift to visitors who bring their business cards to its exhibit on stand 4D30 – the choice of a tyre pressure gauge or a tyre safety pack.

The CV Show is likely to attract more than 18,000 visitors and takes place at NEC Birmingham from 29 April-1 May.
