easyCar Club was the brainchild of Easyjet founder Stelios Haji-Ioannou – now they’re branching out into vans. If you own one, but don’t use it all the time, why not rent it out?

EVER thought how good it would be to make money from you van when you’re not using it?

Here’s your chance. Car hire service easyCar Club has introduced the UK’s first nationwide ‘peer-to-peer’ van hire service aimed at van owners looking to put their vehicle to use in its downtime, and drivers who need a short term hire.

owners can make thousands a year from renting out their van

The idea is already tried and tested with cars. As a leading force in the UK’s ‘sharing economy’, easyCar Club already has hundreds of car owners across the UK and thousands of registered renters. To date, says the company, thousands of successful car rentals have been made.

Now easyCar Club is adding vans to the scheme and according to the company, owners can make thousands a year from renting out their van through this innovative service.

easyCar Club accepts most van types under 3.5 tonnes and up to 10 years old, with a replacement value of less than £25,000. Vans may be owned only by an individual, sole trader, or a private limited company, as long as in each case only own one van is owned.

All drivers are vetted by easyCar Club when applying to join the Club, and owners can accept or reject all requests to hire their van. Owners stay in complete control, setting their own availability and choosing their own pricing.

Owners and renters are offered free membership with no joining fee or annual  fees.
