TELEMATICS specialist RS Connect aims for £20m turnover within two years, doubling its current level of trading success.

News of the ambitious plan comes with the announcement that the company, recently rebranded from RS Fleet Installations, has won investment backing from Beech Tree Private Equity.

Among its recent contract successes, RS Connect won an RAC contract to fit on-board diagnostics devices to vans for Volkswagen Financial Services.

Managing director Lea Hodson said: “We have grown phenomenally since we launched the business five years ago and we now turnover close to £10m. We are looking to double this within the next two years through developing new market opportunities.

“Our new brand will support this new market development as we look to innovate new technologies, not just install them, underlining our mission to create a safer world driven by technology.”

The company, which employs some 200 people across the UK, has a 130-strong vehicle fleet now being liveried with the new brand.

RS Connect, installers of telematics systems in private and commercial vehicles for the UK’s insurance and fleet management sectors, currently works with leading telematics insurers including TescoBank, Insure the box, RSA and the RAC, as well as fleet management companies, installing solutions for large fleets like Amazon and British Gas.
