THE commercial version of Land Rover’s Discovery now accounts for one in four of Disco sales, highlighting the importance of fleet and business sales to JLR.

The new model year 2021 Discovery Commercial brings enhanced levels of performance and efficiency to the professional SUV sector, combining the latest Land Rover powertrain and infotainment technology with the vehicle’s all-terrain and load carrying capability.

In common with the rest of the New Discovery family, the professional model features a bold new exterior design with LED light technology, heightened interior quality and Land Rover’s latest Pivi Pro infotainment system, which brings the convenience of Software-Over-The-Air (SOTA) technology.

It has 2,024 litres of cargo space at the rear, a maximum payload of 784kg and a towing capacity of up to 3,500kg.

The premium professional SUV is available exclusively in SE and HSE specifications, powered by Land Rover’s latest D300 in-line six-cylinder Ingenium diesel engine.

The full Discovery range has been updated for model year 2021 with enhanced exterior design features, updated Terrain Response 2 system and Software-Over-The-Air (SOTA) updates and new Cabin Air Filtration.

Main features of the updated Discovery:

  • Centre console features advanced Pivi Pro infotainment while new second-row seats offer superior comfort
  • New Pivi Pro infotainment features large 11.4-inch HD touchscreen and advanced connectivity with Software-Over-The-Air updates
  • Latest straight-six Ingenium petrol and diesel engines, some of which include 48V Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle technology for superior performance and efficiency
  • New Discovery is among the world’s first full-sized seven-seat premium SUVs with RDE2-certified and Euro 6d-Final-compliant diesel engines
  • Intelligent All-Wheel Drive automatically distributes torque to the axle that needs it most for optimum efficiency 
  • New Cabin Air Ionisation monitors air quality inside and filters harmful particulates, for improved wellbeing 
  • Next-generation wearable Activity Key, Click and Go tablet holders for row-two passengers and Intelligent Seat Fold technology provide 21st century convenience
  • Best-in-class 3,500kg towing capacity and Advanced Tow Assist take the stress out of difficult reversing manoeuvres.
  • Commercial variant is also available in the 300HP 3.0-litre six-cylinder MHEV derivative.
