VMS Fleet Management Ltd and Clarks Vehicle Conversions have unveiled the first Maxus eDeliver9 Welfare Van that will be joining VMS Fleet Management’s contract hire fleet, to assist various VMS clients.
The Maxus eDeliver 9 vehicle was supplied to VMS Fleet Management by MAR Vehicle Solutions before heading to Clarks Vehicle Conversions to be N2 Type Approved under the GB National Approval scheme.
The features of the new Maxus eDeliver9 Welfare Van include:
- Standard welfare features, including a microwave, water boiler, dining table/desk, interior lighting, bathroom
- Accommodates up to 7x100kg of people, plus additional 250kg of weight
- Clever access points to vehicle and power elements
- Solar power set up supporting a lithium welfare system -charging when the vehicle charges
The vehicle on test has a WLP range of 185 miles and a maximum range of up to 212miles on a single charge dependent on route topography, load and driving style. Ideal for all aspects of looking after transient workforce , the Maxus eDeliver9 also has the layout and capability for traditional highway work.
VMS has invested heavily in its EV fleet as the business is looking to aid customers in making the decision to ‘go electric’ and become more sustainable in the future. This vehicle also adds to the bespoke conversions that VMS often creates, to be able to deliver new innovations to its customers.

Formed in 2002, Hertfordshire-based VMS has grown from offering accident and vehicle management, to providing a full range of contract hire and fleet management solutions, together with a wide range of support services. VMS currently operates in excess of 6000 vehicles in its overall fleet, with over 2000 vehicles in its rental fleet alone.
